Do I need an appointment to try on dresses?
At Edwina Richards, we prefer to work by appointment only, so that you get undivided attention.
Do I need to bring anything when I come to see you?
If you have sketches, pictures or photos, please bring them along as the starting point for our discussion.
Are all your gowns special order, or do you sell off-the-rack?
We do not carry off-the-rack gowns. All of our gowns are custom made for the individual client.
What is the price range for custom made gowns?
The price is entirely dependent on the design and choice of fabrics. Some gowns are more complicated than others. Traditional wedding dresses range from about $1200 up to $5000; bridesmaids, mothers and special occasion dresses run from $300 to $700.
What sizes do you carry?
Since every gown is custom made, we can create any size required.
When should I start shopping for my wedding?
Brides should start shopping for their wedding 9 months to a year before the wedding date, as custom made gowns take 3 – 6 months to create. Tighter deadlines can sometimes be accommodated and we are happy to discuss this.
